School Resource Officer
Greene County Technical School District voted in 2012, that a need was warranted for a School Resource Officer (SRO). During that meeting, it was approved for the superintendent to seek help in establishing a SRO Program. The meeting was a success and the agreement was that (1) certified deputy would be appointed to the district, on a 12-month contract. The deputy would be under the supervision of the Sheriff's Office, but would monitor the school campus and travel to away functions. During the special called board meeting the deputy appointed to the SRO position would be amended to (2) positions. In 2019, the district approved the funds to add a 3rd certified officer to the program.
